Due to COVID-19, many of the Lake area's favorite family-oriented attractions either temporarily shut down or delayed their opening dates for the season. Here's the scoop on what's opening and when!
Big Surf Water Park -- tentatively opening early June

On April 28, 2020, Big Surf Waterpark President, Darin Keim announced on their Facebook page that due to the safety and wellbeing of their guests and employees and to comply with the current social distancing guidelines set forth by the State of Missouri, they anticipate delaying the opening of the 2020 season until early June.
Camdenton City Park -- Open
Camdenton's City Park is open: that means bathrooms, tennis courts, the basketball court, disc golf, and playgrounds. The city pool will open May 23: pool employees will be offered masks, and the pool will be kept at 50 percent capacity.
City sports leagues will start practicing May 18, with games from June 8 – July 30, including a July 4 holiday break. Social distancing rules will be in effect for sports leagues, including kids using their own bats, gloves, helmets, and more.
"This was all approved by the health department," City Administrator Jeff Hooker said. "The park is really important to the people of the community to get outside." Hooker added the city is asking families to take extra care to practice social distancing norms while they are in public spaces.
Osage Beach City Parks -- partly open
Osage Beach's two city parks are open to visitors, but the playgrounds are currently closed and some amenities are unavailable. All park amenities will return to normal operations and be available for reservation effective May 18. Playgrounds will remain closed until further notice.
Osage Beach Parks and Recreation youth leagues will begin practices on May 18. Coaches will be contacted the week before and will contact parents for their practice schedule. Games will begin June 8. Games will be over by the end of July, regardless of rain outs, etc. Changes to facilities and some game play will take place for social distancing requirements.
Jetz Trampoline Park -- reopened May 5

On March 20, 2020, Jetz Trampoline Park temporarily shut its doors. However, they reopened on May 5, and their hours are currently Mon - Thurs, Noon - 8 p.m., Fri - Sat, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m., and Sun, Noon - 7 p.m.
Miner Mike's & Buster's -- opening Memorial Day weekend

According to a representative from Buster's & Miner Mike's, "We plan on being open Memorial Day Weekend. Our hours will be Saturday, May 23 from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sunday, May 24 from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Monday, May 25 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. As for our hours after that, we are not entirely sure." Miner Mike's and Buster's is the Lake's premier, 50,000 sq ft indoor family fun center features exciting rides, challenging games, simulators, and indoor go-kart track, and great food.
Putt 'N Stuff -- reopened May 3

Putt 'N Stuff, the historic mini golf course with go-karts and bumper cars (the only location at the Lake), decided to close for business due to COVID-19 on March 23, 2020. However, on May 3, they reopened for business and are practicing social distancing and club/golf ball sanitation. Their hours are Sun - Sat, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

First quarter stats from Lake of the Ozarks sales are out! The year started off great, and sales were up in nearly every category. Record numbers for sure! Considering Covid-19 isolation started in early March, these numbers are strong. It will be interesting to see second quarter results!
